18 Months!

Holy Moly! My Boys are 18 months old today. I can not believe this. The two most amazing little boys I know, have been in my life for a year and a half (not including the nine months they spent in my belly). I feel like they are big boys now, who I know will continue to get bigger. I feel like the past 3 months they have grown so much and they are getting smarter. It's an amazing experience to watch them grow. Time kind of got away from me, so I wasn't able to make their well check up until April 13th, so I'll give that update next month. I'm anxious for their appointment, because like I said I feel like they have grown so much. I'm pretty sure William hit a big growth spurt because it was like he woke up one morning and all of his pants were high waters on him. And Walker just amazes me, because he has really become aware of his surroundings and picks up on so much lately.

For a while I wondered when they would begin to have a brotherly relationship, and within the last few weeks I can see it blossoming. They are starting to play together more, which is so cute to watch. Lately, they have become attached to their paci and lovie (mainly because they got sick - will post about that later). They always have a different colored one so that I will know who's is who's, and lately they know which ones are theirs too. It blows my mind! Which makes me think that they can't be colored blind, so that's a good thing. But when Walker spots his lovie, he grabs it and puts the paci in his mouth (which is attached to the lovie), and then if Walker sees that William doesn't have his, he grabs it and runs over to William and will put the paci in his mouth. It's so cute! It's like he doesn't want him to be without it because he knows how it feels to be without it. It's sweet gestures like that, that makes me hopeful for their relationship and friendship in the future.

They both still aren't talking much. But I'm mainly just ready for them to at least call me "Mommy" and Matt, "Daddy" - All in due time.

Here are a few pictures of my boys lately ...

Double Date Night

Friday night, Matt and I were able to go on a double date with my long time best friend Kelcie and her Husband Kenny. They live in Houston and Matt and I have been wanting to try out Top Golf for the longest time. Since Nana and Papa (Matt's parents) live in Katy, they watched the boys for us that night while we went out. It was so much fun! However, I am TERRIBLE at hitting a golf ball, but it was still a ton of fun. I'm not too bad at playing a little putt-putt golf, but this was a little different. I hadn't seen Kelcie in a while, so towards the end we just sat, talked and drank while the boys played. What girls don't enjoy that?

Kelcie and I have Birthdays that are just 2 days apart from each other. It's pretty awesome to have your birthday so close to your best friend's birthday. We have celebrated many birthdays together. The first, was our 13th birthday party. We had a boy/girl dance party. It was tons of fun! After that, we have celebrated many important birthdays together. 18th, 21st, and so on and so on. So this was kind of our way of being able to celebrate our birthdays together.

Kelcie, I am so thankful for our long lasting friendship. I couldn't imagine my life without it or you. Happy Birthday!

Fun on the Farm

Last weekend we made another trip to Nonie and Pawpaw's. I had a baby shower to attend for an old childhood friend, so we made a weekend out of it. The weather was beautiful all weekend long so we spent a bit of time outside. The boys went to check out the goats, Pawpaw's new old truck, and did lots of swinging.

Walker liked the goats. William wasn't too sure what to think about them.

For as long as I can remember, my Dad has always wanted an old Chevy truck to fix up. He would always tell my Mom, Sisters and I "one of these days ..." And finally, that day has come! It's going to be quite the project for him, but he will love every minute of it and it will be a great project for when he retires. "one of these days." ;)

The weather was beautiful but the ground was still wet.
And Walker may have fallen in a mud puddle.
But it looks good on him.

Sliding fun!

The Boys of course were swinging as well. It was timed to go inside and Walker was not ready to stop swinging and ended up throwing a fit about it. Nonie and Pawpaw felt so bad that before we left to go home, they insisted we all go to Academy and get the Boys their very own swings for the house. The second we got home, Daddy put the swings up and the Boys are so happy to have their own swings right in their backyard.

Even came home with 8 dozen eggs. Score!!!

We had such a wonderful weekend. I always love going back home!
