Kelcie's a Married Woman! ... Finally!!!

My best friend, Kelcie who has been dating her now Husband :) since we were Seniors in High School, got married over the weekend. I have had the prevlidge to watch their love grow over the past 7 years and it has been such a blessing to experience. Their wedding was a blast and so beautiful and I am so thankful that my Parents watched the boys for us that night so that Matt and I could enjoy our time. Here are a few pictures from that night.

The Past 3 Years ...

Well, it's been 3 years since a blogged last and good NEWS! We do have a patio and it is finished! HA!

I'm thinking it would be fun to start this whole blog thing again, but lets just see how long that lasts.

So let's catch up ...

I'm sure you can imagine a lot has changed in three years. It's no longer just Matt and I now. We are a family of four! After a few years of trying to become a family we were blessed with two at the same time! We tried for a while and prayed a lot to have a baby and God blessed us with two! Life has changed drastically and it is hard at times but I can not imagine our life without them now and we are so happy to have our little guys in our lives.

I had a pretty easy pregnancy. At least I'm thinking it was pretty easy compared to other twin/multiple pregnancies that I hear and read about. I was huge, but I was able to go all the way to 37 weeks! And I was ready to get them out!

On the day of Labor Day 2013, I had the day off and I was able to get a lot of things done around the house. The weird thing was is that our dog, Penny was following me around EVERYWHERE getting on my nerves! She would not leave me alone! I think she had a sense that something BIG was about to happen!

That night (actually early the next morning), I woke up and had to go to the bathroom, and kept having to get up to go ... and then shortly after my contractions started and they did not stop. So Matt drove us to the Hospital at 2:00 in the morning, where they confirmed that yes, I was in labor and these babies were ready to make their arrival. And at 4:00am they were born (just one minute apart).

William (Twin B) & Walker (Twin A)

Walker: 5 lbs 15 ounces
William: 5 lbs 11 ounces

Lets, just say 11 months later ... Time just goes by too fast and we have enjoyed (mostly) every minute. Having a newborn is hard, getting use to their schedules and personality's, but X2, I'm thinking can be a little more difficult (I really have nothing else to compare it to). But Matt and I learned to get a routine and I'd like to think that we've got it down. We're a good team and I'm thankful for him each and everyday. I can not imagine going through this journey without him (thanks sweetie for all you do!)

To catch up a little bit, here are some pictures of our little guys growing up through out the past 11 months ...

And in less than a month, our little guys will turn 1! ... Let's see if I'll be successful this time around with the blog, and I will update you on their Birthday Party!

Patio in Progress

Yesterday my loving Husband and Father-in-law started work on our future patio. I am so excited and can't wait to see the finished product! They were able to pull up all the grass for the outline of the patio and had capped off all the water sprinklers, where the patio will be covering. Next weekend my parents are going to come for the weekend and start helping us lay down the pavers.

Matthew's Dad is an architect major and he drew up an awesome design of what our patio will look like. It will include a covered area as we walk out of the door, and then to the right of the patio, it will be empty for now, but eventually have a hot tub (maybe) and then further out, centered there will be a spot for a fire place. I can't wait to see how it will all turn out, and I will definatly post pictures! It is going to be so much fun to have company over and hang out and relax outside on the patio!

Here are two pictures. One is a before picture and the other is a picture of what they had accomplished the first day!

Blogger New-be

Well, I am very new to this whole blog world, but I've known of a few people who do blog, and I like to sneak a peak at other bloggers blogs. I always thought however that I shouldn't do a blog until I have kids, because I figured most people enjoy reading the blogs that have to deal with kids (or at least I do), because lets face it... Kids are more interesting than adults! Maybe that's why I work with them?

Anyways, I figured for the time being this blog can be about mine and Matthew's journey of being married and starting our life together.

We have just celebrated our 1st Anniversary this past weekend and I cannot believe that it has already been a whole year since we said "I do!" It has truly been the best year of my life and I couldn't imagine being with anybody else. We were talking on the day of our Anniversary saying how we wanted to do it all over again, because it was just so much fun, and of course I want to wear my wedding dress again. I am so excited to have been married for a year and I can't wait to say that I have been married to my Husband for 50 years!

Well, hopefully I can keep up with this blogging stuff, and that everything I write won't be so boring!

Here is a picture of us on our wedding day, after we were announced Husband and Wife! :)
