Now, I'm not saying we are perfect and my children are perfect, but over the weekend I could not help but feel this overwhelming feeling of just being happy and content. I often have that feeling, of happiness. However, there have been times that I do feel overwhelmed and exhausted and just wanting and needing a break. But over the weekend it was really refreshing just to look at my family and Thank God for all he has blessed me with.
The boys were so well behaved. They played together well, and entertained each other. While at the same time playing by themselves and having a little bit of "me" time. They watched a few of their favorite movies (we can't get enough of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse right now), ran around the house, read books, snuggled, played ring around the rosy a dozen times, and danced. William even helped Mommy with some laundry. Yes, we still had some fits (we're two, y'all), and crying because we didn't get our way or our brother took something from us, but through it all I was just feeling blessed. All I ever wanted to be when I grew up was a Mom. Not sure if that sounds insane or not, but my whole life, I have always just wanted to be a Mom. And the fact that I get to be Walker and William's Mom is amazing. Good things come to those who wait, and I feel like that could not be more true for Matt and I. I often wonder if all parents have this overwhelming feeling of love for their Children because it is honestly, one of the most amazing feelings I have ever experienced and it's not like I just had these feelings over the weekend. It is a constant feeling that I have. God if good, y'all. So good. And he has blessed us in the most Gracious way. My Boys are happy and healthy and they love their Mommy and Daddy.
I wanted to share a few videos of the Boys running around and being silly on Saturday night. The Aggies weren't playing well, so Walker and William were all the entertainment I needed that night.
On Sunday Night, we ended a relaxing, rainy fall weekend, curled up on the couch together watching; It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!
