Fun on the Farm

Last weekend we made another trip to Nonie and Pawpaw's. I had a baby shower to attend for an old childhood friend, so we made a weekend out of it. The weather was beautiful all weekend long so we spent a bit of time outside. The boys went to check out the goats, Pawpaw's new old truck, and did lots of swinging.

Walker liked the goats. William wasn't too sure what to think about them.

For as long as I can remember, my Dad has always wanted an old Chevy truck to fix up. He would always tell my Mom, Sisters and I "one of these days ..." And finally, that day has come! It's going to be quite the project for him, but he will love every minute of it and it will be a great project for when he retires. "one of these days." ;)

The weather was beautiful but the ground was still wet.

And Walker may have fallen in a mud puddle.

But it looks good on him.

The Boys of course were swinging as well. It was timed to go inside and Walker was not ready to stop swinging and ended up throwing a fit about it. Nonie and Pawpaw felt so bad that before we left to go home, they insisted we all go to Academy and get the Boys their very own swings for the house. The second we got home, Daddy put the swings up and the Boys are so happy to have their own swings right in their backyard.

A Beautiful Spring Weekend. During Winter.

You've got to love Mother Nature. She can never make up her mind. Or at least that's how it is in Texas. Sometimes I find it annoying, but at the same time it's kind of nice. For the past few weeks, it's been pretty cold here in Texas, and the sun hadn't come out in about a week. Over the weekend though, the temperature rose and the sun came out. It felt like Spring! It was Beautiful. We decided to take advantage of it, and spent a lot of the weekend outside. The boys played in the backyard and on Sunday we went for a walk and stopped at the park for them to swing. They had a BLAST and I got some of the CUTEST pictures of them swinging. I'm thinking we need to get swings for them for the house. I'm pretty sure Penny enjoyed us coming outside to play with her too. Matt threw the Frisbee with her and Walker was wanting to join in on that fun too. It was really a great weekend. Not to mention, a three day weekend.
